Find out which is the best fit for you
Needling and mesotherapy are both popular procedures that deliver vitamins into the skin. While they might sound like they do the same thing, they are used to achieve different results.
Mesotherapy is a techniques that helps reduce fat and cellulite in the skin. It is a non-surgical cosmetic procedure that is used for body contouring.
The Mesotherapy Procedure
Using a tiny needle, various agents are injected into the mesoderm layer (middle layer) of the skin. The substances injected work on breaking up fat cells that can then be flushed out through the bowels and kidneys. Not only does this help with weight loss and cellulite, it helps to firm and smooth the skin.
Skin needling is done using a Dermapen® which has micro surgical steel needles that reach the inner surface of your skin to promote skin repair from the inside out. It stimulates elastin and collagen production in the skin.
The Needling Procedure
By harnessing the skin’s natural ability to repair itself, skin needling allows for controlled induction of the skin’s self repair mechanism by creating micro “injuries” in the skin. The body seeks to repair itself by replacing damaged tissue with new cells and collagen. It’s done on small areas like the face and neck and works well for acne scarring, enlarged pores and to smooth wrinkles.
